Norfolk Estate enjoy a social visit from South Australia Police

Norfolk Estate enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on 20 June when two well respected members of South Australia Police dropped by for a social visit.

Taco, a three year old police dog, and his handler Senior Constable Gavin Perish were invited over by the Norfolk Residents Committee to demonstrate how Taco works with his handler to detect illegal activities.

The afternoon was a great success and everyone enjoyed watching Taco show off his skills whilst his handler answered lots of questions from the audience.

After an energetic couple of hours, residents were then able to relax with a delicious afternoon tea.

Thank you to the Residents Committee for organising a fantastic event!

Acacia On Lipsett Enjoys Art Exhibition

Acacia on Lipsett was honoured to host a recent art exhibition with artists from Adelaide Art Society on 23-25 June.

Featured work included pieces by Liz Gartner Bail, Barb McGuire, Glenda Parker and Helen Taylor.

The spectacular backdrop of our beautiful community centre created an amazing ambience for visitors who came along to view the artwork and pottery.

The three day event was an enormous success and we would like to thank these talented artists from Adelaide Art Society for displaying their work for us all to enjoy!

Holbrook Retirement Village Celebrates Grand Opening

On 2 June we celebrated the grand opening of our brand new retirement village, Acacia on Holbrook. The event was a fantastic success with well over 100 visitors in attendance.

It was wonderful to welcome so many first time guests who came along with their friends and family on a beautiful winter’s day.

Our guests not only had the opportunity to meet with some of our new residents, but also had the chance to meander around the village and inspect our well appointed two and three bedroom homes with state of the art features.

Visitors were welcomed from as early as 11am and greeted by the wonderful Blue and Black Notes Swing Band, which played throughout the event.  Our ever popular sausage sizzle and afternoon tea proved to go down a treat as well, with guests able to relax in the sunshine whilst enjoying a delicious selection of refreshments.

Our Retirement Professionals were on hand to talk to people and provide valuable information about independent retirement living and how to take their first steps towards a new and exciting retirement lifestyle.

We also held regular presentations which addressed some of the common concerns that people have when considering a retirement village, such as financial support, downsizing, security and safety. We were able to answer lots of questions and provided helpful information on the benefits of moving into a Karidis Retirement Village.

We were delighted to know that all our guests were happy with the information they gained on the day and that they were able to make new friends and with like-minded people.

With properties at Acacia on Holbrook selling fast, take a tour of our available villas by checking the open inspection times here, or contact our friendly team on 1300 796 311 to discuss your requirements and  book your own exclusive appointment.

Event – Complimentary Bus Tour June 2017

If you are thinking of retiring and want to know what is available, then jump on a Karidis Retirement Village bus tour!

You will be picked up at the Marion Cultural Centre in the morning and will be accompanied by our friendly staff and other like-minded retirees through our beautiful range of villages.  The bus is hosted by one of our friendly village managers, so you have an expert on board, and you can meet all the other village managers as we stop at their villages.  We also stop off for morning tea along the way.  After seeing all the villages, you end up enjoying a free lunch and information session at the Acacia village

Our bus tours are a great way to learn what retirement living is all about and you have plenty of opportunities to ask as many questions as you like.  Our guests from other bus tours found them very informative and personal.

This is always a very popular day out so numbers are limited on the bus.  And we always like to keep the numbers to a small group to encourage everyone getting to know each other and have a chat.

To book your seat on our next bus tour, simply call 1300 796 311!
